- On a computer
If you work with OpenAI's Codex, connect it to Bitácora and it can read your projects and apply your notes.
Add the connector
In your terminal, add the connector:
codex mcp add bitacora --url https://app.bitacora.live/mcp
Then sign in with this command:
codex mcp login bitacora
- The browser opens on Bitácora. Choose How far it reaches and What it can do, and click Give permission.
The same steps are in Bitácora, in the Connect your AI box (Codex tab) and in First steps › Another tool, and on the Bitácora connector page, with the Copy the command button.
Check that it works
Ask Codex: Tell me which projects I have in Bitácora. If it answers with your list, you can now ask it to run your notes.
Troubleshooting
codex: command not found: Codex is not installed yet, or you need to open a new terminal after installing it.- Codex says bitacora is not authorized: you skipped the second command. Type
codex mcp login bitacora. - "That request expired": the permission window lasts 15 minutes. Type the sign-in command again.
- "Your role in this space does not allow running notes": connecting requires the Can run with AI role.
