Guide
Go back to an earlier version of a screen
Each screen keeps its latest versions. From its history you compare them side by side and restore the one you want.
Who can do this
- For
- Designers, Your team
- Role
- Anyone with access, including “View only”
- Plan
- All plans, including Free
- Where
- On a computer
Every time a screen changes (through an AI batch, a manual adjustment, a fixed text or a new icon), Bitácora saves how it was. So you can go back even if the change is not the latest one.
See the latest changes
- Right-click the screen.
- At the bottom of the menu, under Latest changes, you see each change with its origin and when it happened: AI batch, Manual adjustment, Text, Icon change…
- Click one to open the full history.
Compare versions
The Screen history shows the whole screen and lets you see up to three versions side by side:
- At the bottom left, choose One version, Compare 2 or Compare 3.
- Above each screen is its version selector, with the version on the left and its date on the right. Open it and choose the version you want to see there.
- At the bottom right is the zoom (it starts at Fit whole) and, if you're comparing, Synced scrolling: when you scroll down one screen, they all scroll.
Today's version has the Current mark.
Restore a version
- Choose the version you want to go back to. If you're comparing, choose the screen whose version you want to recover: its selector is highlighted.
- Click Restore and the version number, at the top right, next to close.
- Confirm with Restore this version.
The screen goes back to that version and the change also goes into the history, so you can undo it the same way.
To undo everything an AI batch did, across several screens at once, see Undo what a batch did.
Who can
Anyone with access to the project can see and compare versions. Restoring requires the Can run with AI role: without it, the history says Read only.
