Run your notes and review the changes

Click Run, watch your screens change on the canvas, and go through each adjustment in Review, with its before and after, to approve it or revert it.

Run is pressed with three ready notes, the batch box moves forward and the screens change on the canvas.

When your notes are Ready, they all run together in a batch: the AI applies them to the screens and the canvas updates on its own while it works, without reloading.

Run

  1. Click Run in the notes strip, or press Ctrl+Enter from any view of the project.
  2. With your Claude API key, the batch starts right away. With your Claude through the connector, Bitácora gives you a sentence: click Copy the sentence, paste it into your Claude chat and you will see the screens change here while it works. Leave Also update Updates and, where it fits, the Design System and the documentation checked if you want those documents to keep up with the screens.
  3. Follow the progress in the batch panel: how many notes are done and an estimated time.

See first how each note was understood

In the strip's settings menu, Set up running opens Run the notes. With Review first how the AI understood each note you see the tasks each one became and you can correct them before spending anything. There you also choose What gets run, Only my notes or Everyone’s, and with which key.

Stop a batch

Hover over the batch animation and click the X, Stop the run. The AI leaves whatever it had half done in good shape. If you work through the connector and your chat stops responding, Bitácora asks you whether it is still working and, if no one answers, stops it on its own.

Review the changes

When it finishes, Review opens (also with L, or with the Review pill at the bottom). It shows each adjustment the AI made, grouped by screen.

In Review, the before and after of a task opens, it is marked as correct and the counter goes to 1 of 3.
  1. Open Before and after on an adjustment to compare the two versions.
  2. If it turned out well, check its box: it is marked as correct.
  3. If something is missing, open its menu and choose Dictate a change about this. Your next note carries it as context, so you only need to say what is missing.
  4. If it does not work for you, choose Revert in its menu and the screen goes back to how it was before the batch.

When everything is checked, Review minimizes on its own. To undo the whole batch, the menu at the top has Revert the whole run.

Confirm each batch before it starts

If you want to approve each batch, turn on Confirm each batch before running it in Settings › Artificial intelligence. From then on you will see Run this batch? with Allow and Reject. If you reject it, your notes stay in the strip.

Troubleshooting

  • “There are no notes ready to run”: wait for them to finish transcribing, or answer the AI's questions.
  • “Your role in this workspace does not allow running notes”: running requires the Can run with AI role.
  • “Your AI chat seems to have stopped”: click My chat is still working if you see it moving, or Stop now.
