Dictate a note
Press R, say what you would change while you look at the screen, and click to mark where. The note stays pinned to that spot, ready to run.

A note is a change you ask for on your screens, spoken in your own voice or typed. It stays in the bar at the bottom of the canvas until you run it.
When you open a project, the bar starts collapsed: at the bottom right you see how many notes are waiting, with the buttons to dictate or type without expanding it. If you leave it open, that project remembers it open in this browser.
Dictate
- Open the project and go to the screen you want to change.
- Press R or the Dictate button in the strip at the bottom.
- Speak normally: what you see and what you would change.
- While you talk, click on the screen where the change goes. Each click marks a numbered point. Drag it to move it and remove it with a right-click, also afterwards, as long as the note has not been run.
- Press R again to finish, or Enter. If you change your mind, the X next to what you dictated, or Esc, discards it.
The note goes through Transcribing… and Reading it… and ends up Ready. Each dictation can last up to 5 minutes.
Dictate from the Flow
With the Flow tab in front, what you dictate is about the map: the note gets the Flow tag and the changes start with the navigation path and then reach the screens. If you have pieces selected on the map, their screens go along as context. Clicking the tag opens the Flow. See Draw the navigation flow.
If what you dictate is only a piece of information or a loose link, the note says Goes with the next one: it goes together with the next note you dictate.
Type instead of dictating
Press E, type the note and press Enter to save it (Shift+Enter for a line break).
Fix or remove a note
- Fix the text: click the text, or open its menu and choose Edit the text. Enter saves.
- Remove it: click its X. For a few seconds you can Undo. Discarded notes stay in See the discarded recordings, where you can get them back.
When the AI has questions
If a note is ambiguous, The AI has questions appears with its questions. Answer them with one dictation (Answer by voice) or by typing, or with a regular dictation that makes the decision they asked for. Even if you don't answer, the note goes into Run and its questions travel with the batch. If you hide the panel, the D key brings it back. It is explained in Answer the AI's questions.
Let someone know
Say or type @ and the name of someone on the project: they get a notification that you mentioned them.
Troubleshooting
- “The browser has no permission to use the microphone”: give it permission in the padlock in the address bar and press R again.
- “Too short: nothing was saved”: the dictation lasted less than a second.
- “Not transcribed”: the note was saved but could not be read. On its card you have Dictate it again and Write it.
- This browser cannot take dictation: type the note with E.
