How it works
Your vocabulary: Bitácora learns how you name things
Bitácora keeps track of the words you use when you dictate ("the pill" is a filter chip) to understand you better across all your projects. You see, correct, and delete them in Settings.
Who can do this
- For
- Designers, Your team
- Role
- Any Bitácora account
- Plan
- All plans, including Free
- Where
- On a computer
Everyone names things their own way. When an answered question or a correction makes clear what you meant by a word, Bitácora adds it to Your vocabulary and uses it to better understand and transcribe your notes, across all your projects. Nobody else sees it.
When it learns a word
On the note's card you'll see I took “the pill” as a filter chip., with Yes and No:
- Yes: it's saved.
- No: it asks you what it is. Type it and click Save, or choose Not a word of mine. Either way, the note is interpreted again with what you told it.
See it and change it
Open Settings › Your vocabulary:
- Learn from my notes: turns on or off whether Bitácora saves new words.
- Your words: each word with its meaning and its status. You can Confirm, Edit, or delete each one, and add your own with How you say it and What it is.
- Only in and the project name (if you open Settings from a project): what something means only there, like "Ana's one" for her profile screen. If it clashes with one of your words, this one wins.
- Forget everything: deletes all the words. It can't be undone.
A word's statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | You confirmed it or added it yourself: it's used every time you say it |
| Learned | Bitácora suggested it because it came up in two or more dictations, and it's already used like the confirmed ones. You can confirm or reject it |
| Suggested | Bitácora saw it once: it's only a hint until it comes up again or you confirm it |
| Dismissed | You said it wasn't right: it isn't used or suggested again |
| Asleep | You haven't used it in more than six months: it doesn't count until it comes up again |
You can have 300 words of your own and 100 in each project.
